  • Round One: After 31st March when entries have closed, our Ambassadorial and Education Team will select the top ten for each category.

    Round Two: Our panel of judges, featuring industry legends in specialist areas, will then chose the 5 finalists for each category.

    Final: The winners will be announced at the grand final Hair Pro Awards Event on the 19th July in Sandbanks, Dorset, tickets for this will available for purchase shortly, with WELOVE Purple Hearts member’s having priority access.

  • No, entering the awards is completely free, however tickets to attend the event are chargeable, ticket details will be released shortly.

  • No you do not need to be a member to enter the awards, however you do need to be state registered with the hair council. If you are not state registered but would like to enter, you can purchase your State Registration here (with an exclusive £10 off).

    Purple Hearts Club members also get priority access to the event, and the opportunity to be entered into 7 exclusive categories.

  • Judging will be done confidentially with each entry given upmost careful consideration, based on the following:

    Creativity:

    • Ability to showcase unique and innovative hair designs.

    • Originality in styling and techniques used.

    Dedication:

    • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

    • Demonstrated effort in refining skills and artistry in hairdressing.

    Ambition:

    • Goals for personal and business growth within the industry.

    • Initiatives taken to elevate their brand and services.

    Technical Skill:

    • Proficiency in a broad range of hairdressing techniques and methods, including diversity in hair styles and the associated care requirements.

    • Consistency in delivering high-quality results.

    Passion for Hair:

    • Genuine enthusiasm for the craft and the industry.

    • Engagement in community and industry events.

    Professionalism:

    • Adherence to industry standards and ethics.

    • Positive interactions with clients and colleagues.

    Pride in Business Success:

    • Evidence of effective business practices and strategies.

    • Contributions to the growth and reputation of the hairdressing profession.

  • All of the finalists will be notified via email, phone or socials (depending on the information you’ve provided) as well as the complete list posted on our website.

    Winners will be announced at the event.

  • All attendees will require a valid ticket for entry, tickets will be available for purchase soon.

  • The event is being held at the VOCO Hotel and Spa in Winchester, Hampshire

  • The Hair Pro Awards takes place across the weekend of the 18th - 19th July, with the Purple Heart Graduation on the Saturday and various CPD sessions across the weekend. You ticket will grant you access to all CPD sessions, live demo’s from our brand partners and the Awards themselves. The full line up and timings of the weekend will be released shortly. The awards themselves will begin at 6.30pm on the 19th July.

  • Yes, the dress code is Dress to Impress (Black Tie).

  • No, other than canapés no food will be provided during the event, we strongly recommend you eat before attending.

  • The Graduation Ceremony is an annual event where Purple Hearts Members receive their Purple Heart Badges and Certificates, depending on which Purple Heart stage they’ve achieved so far. The Hair Pro Awards aren’t exclusive to Purple Hearts Members, but open to all.

  • Tickets are released to members first (you can sign up for free to be added to the list!), then go on general sale shortly after. Dates to be announced soon (we advise securing your tickets early as tickets are limited this year - a maximum of 180 guests, with the CPD sessions holding up to 100 and will be first come first served, although there will be plenty to choose from!). Tickets are £85 + VAT and will give you access to the whole weekend.
